Upgrading of marine diesel performance attributes by modelling heat-mass exchange processes in a working cylinder

The model of non-equilibrium evaporation of fuel intended for solving the problem of diesel designing and maintenance has been offered in the paper. The composite model of evaporation represents the system of elementary models, which includes the model of not evaporating fuel stream averaged movement, the pilot model of turbulence and the model of mass and heat convection transport. It has been shown that taking into account turbulent fluctuations is especially important at calculation of evaporation in peripheral bands of the jet cross section. The calculated and experimental temperature distributions in the evaporating fuel stream have been given as well.

Maintenance of high quality of mixing in a diesel by modelling the process of fuel stream disintegration

The turbulent and cavitation nature of fuel stream disintegration in a diesel has been explained. On the basis of the experimental data analysis the disintegration model has been offered. The calculation procedure of the sprayed fuel particle size and the vector of its initial velocity at the moment of separation from the continuous fluid jet have been designed. The calculation of polydimensional bucking of fuel has been stipulated.
